Agentics CLI · Terminal Surface

The Orb lives in your terminal.

An inline, voice-reactive ANSI Orb that draws itself with Unicode particles across the width of any shell. Same WebSocket, same auth, same memory, same Orb as your phone, watch, wallpaper, and browser. One npm install away.

The ANSI Orb

A particle ring, in Unicode.

The Orb on your phone is a 1100 particle WebGL scene. The Orb in your terminal is the same Orb, rendered with Unicode block characters and 24 bit ANSI colour. It draws itself in the top portion of the active terminal pane, responds to the terminal width in real time, and breathes with your speech as the audio level streams in from your microphone.

  • True 24 bit colour state transitions: idle white, listening cyan, speaking purple, processing indigo, error red
  • Particle density auto adapts to terminal column count and row count
  • Redraws on resize, dock, undock, tmux split, screen attach
  • Falls back gracefully on 256 colour and 16 colour terminals

Voice in the shell

Talk to your shell. It talks back.

The CLI captures audio from the system microphone, streams it over the same realtime WebSocket every other Orb-bearing surface uses, and speaks responses back through your default output device. Cross device handoff is automatic. Start a thought on your watch, finish it in the terminal, pick it up again on your phone.

  • Push to talk and hands free modes, configurable per shell
  • One of four Agentics personas: Justine, Emma, Lucas, Felix
  • Cross device session: continue any Orb conversation by name
  • Same NRN memory layer as every other surface
PowerBoard for the terminal

Agent tiles, in your grid.

The PowerBoard on the desktop wallpaper is a grid of live agent driven tiles. The PowerBoard in the CLI is the same grid, mapped into the row and column geometry of the terminal. Wallet balance, deploy status, model latency, task queue, NRN search, all rendered inline with the Orb, all driven by the same agent processes that drive the wallpaper.

  • Tile presets adapted automatically to terminal dimensions
  • Live telemetry: wallet ZAR balance, deploys, builds, payouts
  • Tasks pulled straight from Taskman, click to claim or hand off
  • Drag and drop reordering via Ctrl plus arrow keys

Taskman · TUI
queue + retry
Taskman baked in

Long horizon work, tracked in the shell.

Taskman ships inside the CLI by default. Dispatch autonomous units of work, watch agents claim and execute them, retry on failure, route dead letters. The same persistent queue is reachable from the phone, watch, wallpaper, and browser, so a task spawned in your terminal can resume on any other surface without losing context.

  • Persistent queue across reboots, sessions, and devices
  • Visual TUI: claim, hand off, steal, complete, rebalance
  • Auto retry with exponential backoff and dead letter routing
  • Dispatch tasks from your phone, watch them execute in your shell
Quickstart

One command. One Orb.

The CLI ships on npm as the package agentics. Install it globally, run agentics in any shell, sign in once with your Agentics account, and the Orb materialises at the top of the pane. From that moment your terminal is a first class Agentics surface.

  • npm install -g agentics
  • Works in bash, zsh, fish, pwsh, tmux, screen, iTerm, Alacritty, Kitty, WezTerm, Konsole
  • Auth shared with phone, watch, wallpaper, browser, console
  • Open source CLI, MIT licensed
npm · global
npm i -g agentics

Bring the Orb into your shell.

Same session, same memory, same Orb as the rest of your devices. The terminal is no longer outside the loop.
